Training: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

Play Wales is pleased to be able to offer assessor training through PM Training and Assessing Ltd (Pam Martin).
The training is the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. This qualification is made up of three units:
Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
Unit 2: Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
Unit 3: Assessing Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding.
After an initial two days of training, candidates are required to put together a portfolio of evidence and to observe learners in the workplace. Assessor-candidates are assessed on an individual basis.
These qualifications replace the old A1 and A2 qualifications. They are are on the Qualifications and Credit Framework and would be ideal for those wanting to assess Play Wales' Playwork: Principles into Practice (P3) qualifications for instance.
This qualification is available at the very low cost of £75 per person and includes all training, assessment and registration costs.
Tea and coffee will be provided but you should bring your own lunch. Alternatively, there are many shops and cafes nearby.
We have 14 places available. Priority for places will be given to
a) Welsh language speakers,
b) applicants who can evidence they work in areas of high need,
c) and finally a first come first serve basis.
The training will be delivered in English.
