Introduction to safeguarding in the third sector (Wales)

This course is an opportunity to learn about good safeguarding practice in the context of the third sector. The course can be used to develop, revise and implement safeguarding policy and extend good practice.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Consider their safeguarding practice to prevent harm, abuse or neglect to the people in their organisations
  • Develop or revise their safeguarding policy
  • Understand the legislation that underpins safeguarding in Wales
  • Know where to find a wider range of safeguarding resources.


Who should attend?
Staff, volunteers and trustees of third sector organisations who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
