Outside play study


As part of its Fresh Air Campaign JCB Kids has published a study which shows that 43 per cent of parents say their children would rather watch television than go outside to play with friends, while another 42 per cent prefer to play computer games.

The study of 2000 parents also reveals that 54 per cent worry their child doesn't spend enough time playing outdoors, with 58 per cent saying their children don't play outside as much as other children they know.

The study features a top ten list of things children prefer to do than play outside – which includes doing homework and chores.
