Child in the City conference conclusions

Over 160 delegates from 30 countries recently attended the sixth Child in the City conference in Zagreb, Croatia.

At the end of the conference a number of conclusions and recommendations were drawn regarding the four central themes: health, intergenerational interaction, children's rights and the right to play. Children's conclusions have also been included.

In the right to play section, the children's conclusions include:

Playing is a part of our growing up, we develop through playing; it teaches us social and communication skills, we improve our creativity, individuality and imagination and we learn that we cannot always win in life.

Allow the kids to remain kids, to develop socially and to grow up to become independent and happy young people.
