Here is a small selection of funding opportunities that are currently open for applications.
Hanfod Cymru Small Grant
Hanfod Cymru is a new national charitable fund exclusively for Wales, distributing the money raised for good causes by Loteri Cymru to strengthen community life in Wales.
The Small Grants offers sums from a few hundred pounds up to £10,000 on a one-off basis. It is intended to be a one-off contribution to an activity or to the purchase of equipment or expertise of a non-recurring nature. A grant may be used to pilot, or try out a new activity which, if successful would need further funding or larger sums in the future.

Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust
The Regional Grant Scheme is open to all categories – arts, community, environment and sports. A regional project is where the organisations usually have a remit to serve a region of Wales or a local authority area.

Comic Relief Community Cash
Comic Relief and Community Foundations across the UK are working together to distribute Comic Relief Community Cash funds to small groups working with vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
The funding is available to support community groups that are undertaking work that helps people of all ages feel more included in their community, builds their skills, and increases their sense of achievement. Small local groups with an income of less than £100,000 that are run by local people and that are working in a disadvantaged or deprived area can apply for grants of between £500 and £1000.

Sport Wales Community Chest Grants
Sport Wales runs the Community Chest grants scheme in partnership with the 22 local authorities in Wales. A wide range of organisations including youth clubs, community groups, sports clubs and associations can apply for grants of up to £1,500 to support local projects in Wales.
