This year's Playday took place on Wednesday 1 August - here in Wales the campaign continues all year.
The theme for this year's Playday is Get Out and Play! The Get Out and Play! campaign is calling on everyone to help make sure that children and young people across the UK have the time, freedom and space to play outdoors. As well as promoting children's right to play, the campaign is highlighting that outdoor play is crucial for children's health, wellbeing and happiness.
As part of Playday 2012, we are asking children and young people to complete a simple online survey to tell us what play is like for them - how often they get to play, where they play and what they like to do when they play. This will help us find out about what play is like for children and young people across the UK.
If you work with children and young people, it would be great if you could promote involvement in the survey and support as many as possible to get involved! If you're a parent or carer, why not support your kids to fill out the online survey.
The Playday 2012 survey closes 30 September 2012
