Job title: Policy Adviser

Organisation: The Children's Commissioner for Wales

Location: Oystermouth House, Llansamlet, Swansea 

Hours: Full time and part-time

Salary: £29,100 – £35,750 a year

Closing date: 6 January 2019

Interview date: 18 January 2019

You’ll be adept at analysing and influencing key policy initiatives from Welsh Government, UK Government and other public bodies. You will monitor their impact upon the wellbeing of children, young people and families at both national and local levels, taking account of the perspective of children and young people.

What skills will you need?

  • In-depth understanding of policy and practice issues that affect children and young people
  • Knowledge of the impact of the functions of public, voluntary and charitable bodies on their rights and welfare
  • The ability to collate and interpret data and use your strong influencing skills to work with stakeholders to deliver change for children and young people.
