Short documentary exploring children’s outdoor games

A new short documentary produced by The Guardian celebrates the imagination and resourcefulness of children in England and Wales by understanding the games they play outdoors.

No ball games: life and play through the eyes of children across the UK documentary, which was shot before the coronavirus pandemic, follows children in working class communities in Wildmill, Ferndale, Stockton-on-Tees and London. It also features information about government funding cuts to youth services in England and Wales, which has been reduced by 70 percent in the last decade.
